Checklist menu permissions

We have just released an update which allows admins to separate access to audit and inspection checklists. So if you have a user role who should only access to editing inspection checklists, this can now be accomplished. The same goes for audit checklists.

You find the two permissions under the roles setting —> Features, website

If you do not change anything, the users will have the same permissions as before.

Limit the ability to copy checkpoint data from one inspection to another

To maximize efficiency, it makes sense for some companies to allow QCs to copy checkpoint data including images from one inspection to another. This is currently possible to do up to 60 hours after the image has been taken by opening the original checkpoint and press Copy to other inspections.

While this feature is not new, several customers have expressed interest in limiting this shortcut, since it can potentially undermine the integrity of data for very frequent shipments of the same product. We now allow organizations to turn off this permission for selected user roles.

This permission setting will be fully rolled out with app updates being released later this week, but you can already now prepare and remove this permission in the roles settings under Inspection:

The default setting is that this is enabled for users, and you can actively limit it by removing the checkpoint.

New maps provider

On 26 March 2025, we will update the Qarma system to use a new provider for showing GPS locations on a map. Previously, we have used Bing maps except for China, where a local Chinese maps provider was used. Going forward, all maps will be shown using the same maps provider across all locations, making it easier for users to navigate maps across countries.

Besides minor visual changes in the appearance of the map, there will be no changes of the map.
